Public entities are heavily reliant on the asset information they have. Many of the assets in service right now are critically close to being at end of their recommended service life. Smaller entity budgets are not equipped to handle a catastrophic failure of critical equipment. Additionally, a massive increase in retirements over the last five years is driving a need to perform asset audits and data collections to ensure the information is archived. The industry knowledge of equipment operations is disappearing with each new retirement. We will work closely with our clients to accurately detail and collect asset information and interview experienced operators to "download" the knowledge they hold. That information can be utilized to establish SOP's and asset histories that will help to inform future budget needs. Well planned asset replacements and maintenance can be scheduled and coordinated in a way that is minimally invasive and more efficient for the organization.
